Rewards & Recognition

MIT’s Rewards and Recognition Program is designed to recognize employees (both individuals and teams) for their exceptional contributions to their office, department, school, or to the Institute as a whole. The program promotes the fostering of an environment of shared success and commitment and highlight behaviors and activities that have benefited MIT. In addition, the program also provides an opportunity to showcase employees as role models. The intent is to encourage broad-based recognition for MIT employees at all levels of the Institute.

The MIT Rewards and Recognition Program has three facets: the Institute-wide MIT Excellence Awards, the Infinite Mile Awards within MIT’s organizational units, and the less formal Appreciation Awards.

The Pyramid of Performance Awards represent Resource Development’s Infinite Mile Award program. These awards include the Capstone, Limestone, and Cornerstone awards.

Cubit Awards provide immediate recognition of extraordinary efforts.
