Communications

The Communications Office supports the fundraising priorities of the Institute with effective communications strategies and world-class marketing for initiatives and campaigns. We generate editorial content and design pieces to support short-term and long-term fundraising goals of Resource Development and the Institute. We work closely with the Alumni Association, the schools, departments, labs, and centers, and the Office of the President to provide coordination and consistency in our messages to prospects. Communications is organized into three teams: editorial, web & internal communications, and design & marketing.

Writing & Research
The Writing & Research staff develops white papers, cases, proposals, speeches and other high-level projects. This group works closely with the offices of Institutional Initiatives, Philanthropic Partnerships, and Individual Giving.

Web & Internal Communications
The Web & Internal Communications group focuses on updating and building new web-based communications tools. In addition, the group helps facilitate internal communication within RD and with the MIT Alumni Association and School-based Development Officers.

Marketing & Design
The Marketing & Design group creates print materials for internal clients and develops graphic identity standards for RD, including campaign initiatives.
