Kelli Folger
Kelli Folger joined MIT in September 2024. She is a seasoned and successful human resources leader who brings over 30 years of HR and talent management experience to her role. She has successfully managed all aspects of HR, including recruitment, talent development, payroll, compensation, workforce planning, performance management, employee relations, operations, and HR information system conversions.
Prior to joining MIT, Folger was the chief people officer for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Boston (BGCB), where she spent close to 17 years directing their HR, people, and culture initiatives. She successfully built an effective team to address the growth of BGCB’s workforce and to develop HR policies and procedures, and she was a leader in change management.
Folger started her HR career with North Suffolk Mental Health Association (NSMHA). She spent 14 years in increasingly significant HR leadership roles with NSMHA, including as HR director, HR consultant, assistant director of HR, and HR representative.
Folger is a graduate of Salem State University, has a degree in sociology, and is certified by HR Certification Institute as a senior professional in HR. She is a member of the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM), the Northeast HR Association (NEHRA), and the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE).
