We are mission-driven and collaborative. The Office of Resource Development consists of 12 teams and a number of strategic partners, which contribute to a variety of fundraising initiatives.

The Office of Foundation Relations (OFR) manages relationships with foundations to maximize support to the Institute from this sector. OFR staff work to identify foundation funding opportunities for thematic Campaign priorities, Institute initiatives, Schools, departments, centers, programs, and projects, and help to develop strategies for successful approaches. Staff organize visits to campus by foundation representatives, brief and staff senior officers for meetings on or off campus with foundation leaders, work closely with faculty and others to develop proposals, serve as relationship managers for a broad set of foundations including developing and maintaining relationships with program officers, facilitate faculty-foundation interactions, steward foundation support, identify and engage new foundations, conduct and share research on foundation prospects, and keep current on trends in the field.
