Foundation Relations

The Office of Foundation Relations develops relationships across MIT and with private foundations and philanthropic entities to create mission-aligned opportunities for meaningful impact.

What We Do

The Office of Foundation Relations (OFR) drives MIT’s strategic relationships with private foundations and philanthropic entities in collaboration with senior leadership, faculty, and staff. By highlighting the breadth of MIT’s exceptional work, OFR aims to inspire deeper connections between MIT and the philanthropic community to create opportunities for transformative impact. We partner across MIT to develop proposals, design solicitation strategies, lead outreach and communications, align administrative efforts, and deliver high-impact campus visits and meetings that advance philanthropic engagement.
